The techy things used by kids today definitely hurts their communication skills, their spelling skills, their person to person interaction skills, all together. Our society is setting the next generation up for complete failure.

Forgive me if I misspell a word or two, I am in fact, only human. I also have done balancing the statistical books, per say, at my place of employment. A 90% percent ratio, could mean as many as 5, out of every 50, die, depending on how many millions, you are measuring, against.

Sue - how about looking at it like this, the boy had 1 treatment, and went through such pain, he would rather die, than go through it again. You do not need to know how to read, to understand what causes you pain.

I'm am sorry for the loss of your son, I could not imagine your pain. What we are saying here, is the Government should not step in, and force this type of treatment on the boy, regardless of what the parents and the child feel, say, or decide.

Totally agree with you on the insurance thing. If the judge does order this, believe you me, he will not be paying for it out of his pocket, he makes the court order, and the STATE pays for it. Where's the state get the money to pay for it, you ask . . . .

You do not have to know how to read, to know your body is hurting. The report states the child was in pain, grabbing at the area the chemo was being flushed into.

I am so thankful as a Parent I never had to make that choice, but it is MY choice, as the Parent. The more we allow our government to step in and tell parents how to parent, the more screwed up this country gets.

I am floored. One politition went as far as to say, "They don't even have to cash them." I think they better add up the cost of sending those checks out again.
